About

Every landscape has its stories.

In Scania, they’re told through ancient burial grounds, sacred springs, forgotten trails, old fishing villages, and places where folklore still lingers just beneath the surface. Witches, will-o’-the-wisps, sea legends, strange rituals, and tales passed from one generation to the next have all found their way into the beers we brew.

Our name, Häxkitteln, simply means ”The Witch’s Cauldron.” In Scandinavian folklore, the cauldron is more than a vessel. It’s a symbol of transformation, mystery, craftsmanship, and creation. We couldn’t think of a better name for a brewery.

What began as a passion project inspired by the legends of the Linderöd Ridge is now brewed in Malmö. But Häxkitteln has never been about a single place. It’s about exploring the stories, myths, history, and traditions that have shaped southern Sweden, then giving them new life through beer.

We don’t brew to chase trends or tick style boxes. Every recipe starts with an idea, a place, a legend, or simply a curiosity we can’t let go of. Some of our beers stay close to tradition, while others wander far from it. That’s exactly how we like it.

Many of our beers are brewed with traditional Norwegian kveik cultures, a living part of Nordic brewing heritage that has survived for centuries. Like the stories that inspire us, they’re a reminder that some traditions are worth carrying forward.

Every beer has a story.

Welcome to ours.
